I am a Senior Research Associate at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence at the University of Cyprus. I joined the Center in 2017 as a Research Associate, working with Prof. Marios Polycarpou and Prof. Christos Panayiotou. My research interests lie within the areas of learning from nonstationary, limited labelled, and imbalanced data streams with applications in monitoring of critical infrastructures and in health informatics. I currently serve as an Associate Editor for the journal Neurocomputing. I have also been involved in and secured funding from various European and National research projects. My research has been published in top-tier conferences (e.g., ICLR, AAAI, AAMAS, WSDM, and IJCNN) and prestigious journals (e.g., IEEE Trans. Neur. Netw. Learn. Syst., Neurocomputing, Eng. Appl. AI, IEEE Trans. Mob. Comp.).
In 2019, I was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship. I was also a visiting researcher at the Polytechnic University of Milan (POLIMI) working with Prof. Manuel Roveri and Prof. Cesare Alippi. Previously, I was a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science at University College London (UCL) working with Prof. Jun Wang. I also held Data Scientist roles in industry (London).
I hold a PhD degree (2015) from the Department of Computer Science at the University of York, UK on multiagent learning and coordination with applications in network intrusion detection and response. It was supervised by Dr. Daniel Kudenko and funded by an EPSRC Studentship. Prior to my PhD studies, I obtained my MEng degree in Computer Systems and Software Engineering (First Class Honours, 2010) from the same department.
